At Body Agility, one of our highly qualified Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists can create a Hydrotherapy Exercise Plan, tailored to your needs and then deliver hydrotherapy at a hydropool near you.
Hydrotherapy can be used for disability management, chronic disease treatment, pain management, injury rehabilitation and strength training. If you are seeking a natural drug-free pain management approach, have joint issues, weight issues, risk of falls, are in a wheelchair, are unable to stand or have difficulty walking, have injuries or reduced range of motion, then hydrotherapy may be an excellent and safe solution for you. What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy essentially involves doing specially prescribed exercises in a heated pool to support injury rehabilitation, improved mental health and address the symptoms of chronic disease and degenerative conditions. The water in a hydropool is usually heated to a temperature of 33 – 36ºC, which is warmer than a typical swimming pool. The focus of the exercises can be adjusted to help your range of movement or strength, reduce pain and inflammation and to deliver many other benefits, depending on your condition or symptoms.
