Exercise Physiology
At Body Agility we have accredited Exercise Physiologists with extensive clinical experience in the management and improvement of physiological functioning. Our highly qualified team can assist you with gentle exercises to regain range of movement, including mobilisation of soft tissue structures and restoration of joint mobility and strength to optimise function. Or we can push you to your limits (safely) to help you break through your performance barriers.
All exercises prescribed by our Exercise Physiologists are designed to achieve your goals - whether they be improved daily living and quality of life, chronic disease management, injury rehabilitation or peak physical performance.
What is Exercise Physiology?
An Exercise Physiologist will 'prescribe interventions' (think of a custom program with related treatments) which are exercise-based and include health and physical activity education, advice and support and lifestyle modification with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change.
Exercise Physiologists can provide exercise interventions for cardiac, metabolic, musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological conditions, mental health conditions and disabilities and manage the side effects of many intensive drug therapies. In fact, it's considered best practice for inclusion in cancer treatment. Read more in our blog.
